Hi, I'm Shivek.
I'm a full-stack software engineer working toward a focused goal: becoming an AI Software Engineer who can take a machine learning idea from notebook to production. I care about the unglamorous parts most people skip — evaluation, retrieval quality, error handling — because that's where AI products actually succeed or fail.
My background is in full-stack web development, which shapes how I approach AI work: models are only useful inside systems that are fast, observable, and built for real users. I spend my time building projects that combine both — RAG pipelines, model serving infrastructure, and automation agents — and writing about what I learn along the way.
Outside of shipping projects, I'm deepening my machine learning fundamentals and studying how production AI systems are designed at scale. This site is both a portfolio and a public log of that process.
Engineering Timeline
2021
Wrote my first program
Started learning to code, drawn in by how quickly an idea could turn into something real on screen.
2022
Went full-stack
Built and shipped several full-stack web apps, learning React, Node.js, and relational databases along the way.
2023
Started specializing in AI
Began studying machine learning fundamentals and experimenting with early LLM-powered tooling.
2024
Built production AI features
Designed and shipped retrieval-augmented generation and automation systems for real users, not just demos.
2025
Deepened ML foundations
Focused on the theory behind the tools — model training, evaluation, and the tradeoffs of production ML systems.
2026
Building toward AI Software Engineer
Documenting the journey publicly, shipping AI-native projects, and refining a craft-first approach to engineering.
